About Glenda Owen
Glenda Owen is chief of the Workforce Service Division with the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission. She has been employed with the agency for 29 years.
She has also volunteered and served on several local boards and associations such as the Oklahoma State Council for HR Management and South Central Oklahoma workforce investment boards for nine years and recently appointed to serve on the Oklahoma County local workforce investment board. She is currently serving her third year as the Oklahoma State Council for HR Management in the core leadership role for Workforce Readiness.
She holds two B.S. degrees from the University of Science & Arts in Oklahoma - Chickasha. She has her PHR certification through HRCI. She is a certified Workforce Development Professional through National Association of Workforce Development Professionals with an endorsement in Business and Employer Services.
She is a strong advocate for local and state workforce and economic development.
